After hiding, quickly take note of the situation. There is obviously someone (thing) Stalking us. Tar will move to a better vantage point while continuing to move with stealth. Given the opportunity outside of the AM Field, he will cast invisibility.

Kaz frowns as his skin seems to melt off of him, revealing his true form...a man of similar stature to his previously worn mask, although slightly older and with two devilish horns jutting out of his head. His eyes are a scorching red, and they burn with hatred at those who have ambushed them.

"Damn them all to the Nine Hells, how did they set up such a complex trap so quickly?" Eyeing the corpse of Peter, his eyes show a look of sadness for a moment before reverting back to their fiery hatred. "I'll explain later, we should make our stand here before they pick off any more of us, Lorrin, follow me out of this field."

Moving on the same initaitive with Lorrin he gets the fighter to escort him out of the field (if he allows this action of course), Kaz then quickly casts Aspect of the Deity upon himself.

"Oh you, the One Who Watches whom I have pledged my soul to lend me your power right now!"

Winter will fly about, still claoked, trying to locate the offenders.

The Wraith King remains safely underneath the ground, preparing himself with a True Strike spell.

Notes-If Kaz can, he will use a spell check roll with a bonus of +18 to discover how they set up an antimagic field so quickly.

Lorrin spins around at Khaels sudden transformation, bracing himself for an attack. When none is forthcoming, and it turns out Khael is, indeed, still his employer, he turns his attention again outward, scanning the darkness. "...Lorrin, follow me out of this field," Khael's order ends his careful study of the darkness. Lorrin steels himself, and strides out next to Khael. "I hope you know what you're doing," the bald man mutters, and hopes he doesn't end up like Peter.

Note: the spell emanated from dennis' corpse. From what you can tell, the body, or rather the trap was prepared before hand, probably through means of a contingency spell. From what you could tell it was one of these things: if someone moved the body, if someone touched the body, if someone cut the body down. Beyond that, without inspection of the body anyway, all you can tell is that the trap was primarily magical.

Initiative:
Tar
Lorrin
Hassan
Tutsan
Hostegym
Kaz

Tutsan/Hassan/Kaz/Tar all hear something in the brush and turn to face it in time to see a halfling ducking into some brush. He seems to be fumbling with a hand crossbow.

"As much as I hate to say it, bring as many of them as you can alive." Kaz's face lights up with a (literal) devilish grin. "Don't worry though, there are fates worth than death."

(Since I'm last I'll wait for other PCs to post before posting my action, btw, should we see our enemy's inits? That's how its done in other games but you may not like it that way, also for fut. reference, contningency is self only-again, unless you have a custom version in your campaign, !sorry for being nit-picky just want to clear everything up!)

about contningency

It was a magic trap, that used a form of the contingency spell. Basically all you can tell (without inspecting the body) is that a magical trigger was met, and then the spell was tripped.

Move 35 feet from the body (in the direction of the halfling). If magic is no longer failing then I will engage in melee. Otherwise I will continue hiding in shadows.

"Bah, spoiling my fun." Tutsan chuckles at Kaz's remark. Once outside of the antimagic area, he casts Hold Monster on the halfling.
