Action Surge and casting? Just don't use a Bonus Action spell (or two concentration spells), and you're good.
The only restriction on casting multiple spells in one turn is if one is a BA - then any Action spells have to be cantrips.

No I'm thinking you cast haste and have 1 attack.
Next round you action surge. If you're level 5 do you get 5 or 6 attacks?

5 attacks. Action (2), Action Surge (2), Haste Action (1)

Optional Addition: Bonus Action (1 off-hand)

So this abomination gets a level 3 spell dlot. Can I use the wizard ability to scribe level 3 wizard spells into the book?

RAW it seems you can.

No. You can only scribe a 1st lever Wizard spell.

That's what I figured to many brain facts.

I see lots of haste or action surge not both togather.
