Faerie Fire inside Darkness?

No, Fairie Fire is only a first level spell, and light spells of lower level than the Darkness do not shed light.

Yeah... I asked myself the same question....

Under the Faerie fire description, it says that creatures outlined by it do not benefit from the concealment normally caused by darkness, blur, etc.

But the light is too dim to counter the darkness...

How is that possible to cease the concealment, without affecting the spell? creatures in the darkness area won't see the outlined creature because of the darkness... That's weird...

Notice that in the actual spell description, "darkness" is not italicized (hence talking of nonmagical darkness, not the spell of the same name), while "blur" is italicized (referring to the actual spell).

This calls for a new, more potent version of Faerie Fire, complete with awesome 80's reference : Rainbow in the Dark
