Thanks for the input, all. It sounds like there isn't anything special to keep in mind for FR kobolds. Just play the lizardy little buggers like I would in any setting!

As eric mentioned, the April 1995 issue of Dragon (216, IIRC) contains the Elminster's Notes article on kobolds. It's pretty good; were it not for IP issues, I'd post it here since I have it as part of the Dragon archive.
