Favored Enemy (Your Race) question

I think it's ideal for bounty hunters...most of whom would be neutral imo.

Favored Enemy has nothing to do with hating the selected group. That was 2nd ed, yo - those days are gone. FE is now just 'you've studies these things alot'.

Personally, I do away with the evil requirement to take your own race as a favored enemy in games I run. Bounty Hunters and the like, examples mentioned already above.

Off on a Tangent...

...And why is it called "Favored" Enemy, anyway?!? When's the last time you ever saw a Ranger show any favor, at all, to a "Favored" Enemy? Okay, so "Most Hated" doesn't fit, either, and "Well Studied" just doesn't sound right, but... Favored? That's definitely wrong!

I always thought that 'Advantage over (target race)' was more fitting.
