One of the nice things about high level fighters is the versatility of combat options. You can get the Expertise, Imp. Disarm, Imp. Trip combo, and the Power Attack, CLeave, Imp. Sunder combo, and the PBS, Precise Shot, Quickdraw thrown weapon schtick, toss in TWFing, and still have feats left over (say for some archery tricks or the Spring Attack tree or both).

Use a bastard sword and a buckler and a short sword (which can be quickdrawed at any moment) and you can chose between thrown weapons, sword and board, TWF, and 2H fighting, combining any of the above with either Expertise or PA.
