[Firefox] Turning on the popup warning

My wife turned off the warning that let's you know when a site tries to display a popup and I'm finding it very inconvenient. I know I can just allow popups in general or even for specific sites, but I do a lot of random surfing, and I like to know when a site is trying to open a popup, because sometimes it's legitimate.

Is there any way to get the warning back? I tried uninstalling and re-installing, but that didn't help.

Menu: Tools > Options... (Tab: Content) --> check the first item in the list.

It also warns you when there's a popup by putting a small icon in the status bar at the very bottom of the window. It's a little blue-bordered box with a red X through it. Clicking on that gives the same options that the popup notification bar does.
