First 2014 Encounters Season: Scourge of the Sword Coast

The Wizards Play Network page now lists Scourge of the Sword Coast as the first new season of D&D Encounters in 2014.

At present we're playing through Murder in Baldur's Gate. (21 August 2013 - 13 November 2013, 13 weeks)

The next one is Legacy of the Crystal Shard (20 November 2013 - 15 February 2014, about 12-13 weeks, excluding Christmas)

And then is Scourge of the Sword Coast (19 February 2014 - 9 April 2014, 8 weeks).

No word yet on whether it will be a published adventure or one only available to the D&D Encounters system.

And yes, there will be a Game Day (15 or 16th of February, 2014).

After searching around a lot on the WPN site, here's what I found:

Season 17 - Scourge of the Sword Coast
Game Day/Opening Weekend: Feb 15-16, 2014
Season: Feb 19 - May 7, 2014
System: D&D NEXT (a "subset" of the NEXT rules, that is, which you'll have to get at DNDClassics(dot)com)
Materials: digital download (which you'll likely have to pay for) at DNDClassics(dot)com

Synopsis: Monster attacks in the region have forced fleeing refuges to hole-up in Daggerford, and PCs must defend the town/stop the monsters. Adventure is somehow connected to that Dragonspear Castle NEXT adventure that was a GenCon-only thing this past year.


Season 18 - Dead in Thay
Game Day/Opening Weekend: May 10-11, 2014
Season: May 14-?
No more info available at this time, but I'm guessing it'll involve undead & Red Wizards.
