I'm terribly sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Talon was a victim in Alantie and Ebon's crusade which ended barely a week past. I later found this note in one of my pockets, addressed to you. My heart goes out to you for the loss...

Enthesla:

You are my heart and my love. There is nothing that I
would not do for you, be it in my power. I know we
have had our problems, and for that I apologize from
the deepest part of my heart. I love you, have loved
you and always will, wherever I am.

If these words have found your eyes, then I am dead.
I assure you that the battle was just and my reasons
for fighting were honorable and true. I apologize for
leaving you. Raise our children well. Tell them of
me.

I took your kind words to my daughter, both her and the children have been deeply wounded by the loss. She asked I pass on her thanks for your thoughts.
I apologise for how long it has tajen for me to get back to you, but as you can imagine at such a time, Thes has needed me there.
These have been dreadfuly dark times for all my family, but I am sure when Thes is strong again she will wish to speak with you about Talon's last moments.

Once again I thank you for the service you have done my kin.
