The Deal Hunter’s Toolkit is a 5e supplement from Grayscale Press that includes not only new magic items, but also new rules for navigating markets and negotiating with merchants.

Philip Reed Games posted the 2004 edition of vs. Monsters Deluxe Edition, a game written by Reed in just 24 hours over twenty years ago in an attempt to create an RPG inspired by Neil Gaiman, Lewis Carrol, Tim Burton, and others with a twisted take on Americana.

Shadowdark fans made out well this week as there are three new products this week starting with Shots in the Dark: One-Shot Adventures, a giant 68-page anthology of 18 adventures along with guidance for running them and new tables for random events and encounters.

Next from Philip Reed Games is ShadowSpark Flickering Torches, a new optional rules system for Shadowdark introducing a Jenga tower mechanic to exploration.

And finally we have another set of alternate rules for Shadowdark with Shadowdark Hex Crawl Rules from Abol Tabol. Manage your resources and find rewards in every hex as you use this optional exploration system.

Son of Oak Game Studio has taken the City of Mist system and adapted it into their own game with Legend in the Mist, a rustic fantasy RPG designed to allow mixed level parties by ensuring that all characters have the same narrative power regardless of their power level. This Tinderbox Demo includes a short adventure, streamlined rules, three pre-generated characters (each with three different art variants), and everything else needed to play a demo game aside from dice.

OSR fans playing Basic/BX/BECMI looking for a new challenge should look at The Palace of Evendur by Crawler Solo, an adventure for 1st to 3rd level characters who must unravel the mystery of an overgrown and abandoned palace on the edge of an enchanted forest.

With a module name like Temple of the Blood-Glob Cult, do I need to tell you that it’s for Mörk Borg? This solo dungeon crawl can also be used with Sölitary Defilement as you see if you can survive.

Ondaris Publishing has a new setting for your favorite fantasy RPG or particularly OSR system with A Traveler’s Guide to Ondaris. Magic is rare in a world filled with dinosaurs and other prehistoric dangers as your party will explore the world seeking to uncover the secrets of an ancient civilization.

Lindsey Bonnette released Pretender to the Flame, an adventure kit for Worlds Without Number (or easily converted to other OSR systems) where the party must assist in preparations and evacuations as a volcano sits in the edge of eruption and various forces are poking at a fledgling volcano god to make it happen.

The new Call of Cthulhu scenario from Chicho ORCARIZ “Arkashka” casts a WWII squad as the investigators in Operation Midnight Sun where they must use stealth and cunning to find out what the Germans are up to in the North Atlantic and survive the harsh landscape to track down their secret site.

Grant Howitt posted Lexicutioners, a spin-off of the Spire RPG where the characters use their special abilities to re-write the rules. Literally.

The adventure Wishes of Krystal Deep by Romi Rizky places the 3rd level party in the role of prisoners about to be pardoned in exchange for helping a noblewoman Kasandra Vuer to investigate an abandoned mine.

Johnny Vestergaard has a two-hour Tier 1 adventure for APL 3 titled FR-DC-Timerdale-01 The Tulba Dish where the party has stopped at a small lumberjack settlement with a surprising and mysterious feature in the town square.

If Ravenloft was terrifying enough, David Dudhill wants to make it worse by removing the sanctuary of sleep with Improved Nightmares, a mini-supplement with optional rules for dreams and nightmares.

David Dunhill has also brought a familiar face to Ravenloft with Improved Jenny Greenteeth, an NPC from Adventure League in Phlan who has been dragged to Barovia where she has set up shop in every town offering spellcasting services that come with a twist.

Charity Bundles and Sales

The Jennell Jaquays Memorial Game Jam is complete and the final superdungeon, Return to Perinthos, is currently up on Crowdfundr. Creators donated over 200 pages worth of material to create this 80+ level megadungeon for a wide variety of fantasy RPG systems. That's something that should be reported to DriveThru as it's against their policy.
I didn’t want to support it but it seems like there might be a grey area: DTRPG seems to allow “stock art” to be sold as long as it includes a disclaimer. The product in question has no disclaimer, but does cite the artist “FantasyLandscapes”, whose products are sold as stock art on DTRPG and do include the disclaimer.

I’ll report it and see what happens.
