Things I learned in Vegas.

1. You the strangest looks trying to buy dice with more than six sides on the Strip.
2. ADHD interferes a lot with video poker/card counting in blackjack.
3. good abilities rolls = bad craps rolls
4. betting your wedding Annveriary Date, at roulette, on an annversirary trip pays at 1-36 :)
5. The Belligio Buffet is much better than anyone elses.
6. My wife will not wear showgirl costumes, but will go see others wearing them.

anyone else have stories? about gambling/Vegas?

The Mirage has a great Buffett too, never tried the one in the Belligio.

I won about $100 playing video poker. I should have walked away when I was at $120, but oh well.

I wished I could have stayed a little longer, but I had to work.

A Martingale strategy is a great way to win little bits of money over a long period at roulette...and a great way to lose all of it again in a hurry. ;)

Oh, and don't bring an ATM or Credit Card into the casino with you. Bring the cash you're willing to lose and don't feel bad losing it. You're spending entertainment dollars is all. Only these dollars have a chance to make you more dollars.

Rel is right; well except the Martingale.*

Heroism means risking it all, then walking away (ie don't keep playing on a "hot streak", wager what you can afford to lose and whether you win that amount or lose, walk away).

You get rewarded for new abilities (learn the table games rules and basic stragety for each, they have a lower house advantage).

Rest when your hp are low (if you've been up all night, best to call it a night now rather than after an hour of sloppy blackjack and/or video poker).

Bring your best weapons and armor (basic stragety for the games, knowledge of best "odds" casinos, and comfortable shoes and season-appropriate attire. Casino require a lot of walking).
