Setis leaves Mizore in charge of the portal as she remembers something the previous Archdruid had left in the city, a seed said to be from the First Tree. She did not know if it held any actual power, but it was a significant druidic relic, and the only known proof of the existence of the tree. It had been gifted to the city when it was first built, as a token of good will and luck. Within moments, Setis was able to find the seed in the already evacuated City Hall. As she turned to leave, she also noted a book that had been gifted by one of the arch-magi who helped bestow the initial magic that made the flying city possible. Better with her than burnt.. She returned to the portal to see no more people around as the final section of the clouds began to break up - They had evacuated any they could in the time available, any who were still left hiding in buildings or alleys were too far to help now... Scooping up her portal, she leaps into the air as the ground gives way. By the time the city finally falls, Kilikak, Elle, Mizore, Setis, and Aussir are the only non-dragons (Or non-ALIGNED dragons, taking Aussir into account) remaining in the sky, surrounded on all sides by Dragons. They watch, unable to do any more, as the last section of the once-great city in the clouds falls the miles to the earth, a great cloud of dust rising from its impact. They have little time to reminisce, however, as when any dragons get near to any of them, they swoop in to attack unless the Legend is already fighting an opposing dragon, in which case the dragon swoops in to assist, the Legend becoming the center of a large mass of flying, fighting, dieing dragons. The group quickly comes to be in proximity to each other, watching each others backs as Dragons swoop and dive around them. The fighting seem like it will not stop until one side is completely destroyed, and glancing down, the legends see the land miles below littered by fallen dragons. It is then that a darkness spreads, as though night had suddenly fallen, and Tiamat's three conscious heads cackle in unison, "It looks like Our reinforcements have arrived, you old Lizard! Care to test yourself NOW?" The battered Platinum dragon swoops around, bellowing in anger and ordering his forces to fall back as several dozen great black-scaled humanoid figures with leathery wings begin descending from the clouds. It would seem this battle is over, and unless you wish to Stand your ground or Join a Side, it is time to retreat! [sblock=Knowledges!] [sblock=Religion DC 20] Lolth, The Spider queen, is arriving. [/sblock] [sblock=Planes DC 20] The Figures appear to be greater demons of some sort [sblock=DC 50] These beings are known as Infernals, formed by the union of God and Demon. (ELH, CR 26) [/sblock] [/sblock] [/sblock] [sblock=ooc] For ease of storytelling I had Setis close the portal and fly, staying with the others. Despite the fact that it makes little sense for her, it's the simplest way I could come up with to not have the party split with no way of re-grouping. Shayuri - I'll allow you to pick whatever form she flies as (Anything that appears obviously Good or Evil would, of course, be ill-advised). [/sblock]
