Get Your Copy Of OLD For Just $10!

O.L.D., the fantasy heroic roleplaying game, was sent to Kickstarter backers over the weekend. Now that they have their copies (if you haven't yet, check your email!), the 350-page full-colour book is available in PDF for $10 (the same price as the fully-compatible N.E.W. science fiction game, already available). The hardcover version will be available soon, but not until the books have finished shipping to Kickstarter backers around the world.

What's O.L.D. is N.E.W. is the system powering three gorgeous, crunchy, compatible roleplaying games - medieval fantasy, 80s action heroes, and far-future science fiction. These games are called O.L.D., N.O.W., and N.E.W., respectively and are all open (as in open gaming content) and entirely compatible with each other. Designed from the start as a toolkit oriented game system, you are encouraged to design your own content using the extensive guidelines found in each book.

And best of all, they are fully, 100% compatible. Use O.L.D. and N.E.W. to mix starships and wizards and lasers and knights to your heart's content! Devise your own setting using any fantasy or sci-fi elements you need.

I can't wait to see the first campaign which combines the two!

I'm gming that for my wife right now. New futuristic - no extra solar stuff, yet, but stargates. Many of the worlds she visits are OLD - just took her laser to some zombies.

She's running me a Cyberpunk character pulled into a fantasy world. So pretty much OLD, but the character was built with cybernetics and new careers (and some from the martial arts of NOW). Going forward will pretty much be OLD.

The back of my head is thinking of trying to put together a Science Fantasy world - Dragonstar or Starfinder style. I do need to become much more comfortable with the system though.

Like others here, I picked up my pdf last night. Can't wait til the physical books are available. Looks great, and I'm actually(sorry) enjoying this more than N.E.W.

That said, I may just have to revisit N.E.W. after my read through. Which, so far, is nicely done. Well done, Morrus. Glad to see these come together for you.

*words are hard.
