How do you portray Death in your campaigns? Is it a bloodthirsty creature stalking the night to prey on the living? A neutral entity seeking to insure that spirits achieve their final reward. A fearsome predator scouring the battlegrounds to finish off the fallen? A shadowing hunting lurking in the darkness to reclaim those that have escaped his grasp? With Gods of the Dead, GMs have their choice of four new deities of death and undeath to use in their d20 style campaigns.

Vagruth: The former Lord of the Dead. After the Great Reckoning, he was stripped of his power. Now the God of the Undead, he plots to turn all the world into an undead army.

Nadru: Vaguth's eldest son and the new God of the Dead. The former Ferryman now has more to worry about than simply insuring the souls of the dead get to their patron deities' domains.

Gradum: The Harvester stalks battlegrounds and hospital searching for those about to die in order to insure they do, in fact, die.

Shavo: The Hunter tracks down those who have defied death by being resurrected or reincarnated.

Besides detailed background histories unraveling the relationship between these gods, this supplement also includes a new playable racial template (The Dhampir), a new prestige class (Doom Guardians), an undeath domain, and new spells and magical items.
