Greyhawk info (around Thornward)?

Hi all,

I own the D&D Gazetteer and the Living Greyhawk Gazeteer.

Both of these fall far short of acceptable settings. There are no roads on the map for darn's sake!

Anyhow, my party is around Thornward, and I plan on using Veluna/Ket/Bissel/Gran March conflicts, so they'll be in and around there.

Does anyone have information, specifically I am looking for road maps and other detailed maps such as the one found here:

It would be greatly appreciated!

So draw your own! GH is far more about a minimally detailed world that a DM can flesh out than a heavily detailed setting where most, if not all, of the work has been done. GH has always been like that and it's one of the main reasons GH enthusiasts like it.
There are a few sources out there with more detail in them and most of them are available for download these days for a small cost.

I have an old map on my hard-drive with roads on it. I'll have to dig it up and see if it's still available on the net.

Someone shoot me an email to remind me to post again if I forget :D

EDIT: I thought Halfling had something at http://www.angelfire.com/wi2/CC2Halfling/
or may have been thinking of Kent's map for Ivid the Undying. I'm sure though that I had a roads map somewhere [starts digging some more]....

Hi all,

Thanks for the pointers. Unfortunately none of those sites had Thornward/Bissel information, but they do have links to other sites that I have yet to check out.

I don't really have time to make my own map, and I am looking to make it somewhat consistent with other material.

The maps provided by WotC show the Fals splitting the Lotmil and Yatil mountains, e.g., but I can't tell by looking at it if it is hills on either side of the river, or if there's supposed to be room, or what. I'm basically looking for guidelines for the area.

If you go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Bissel/

Join the group.

Look in the "Files" section and click on "Materials for Players and Judges".

Then click on Bissel_gazetteer_v2.pdf . I believe there are maps in there that will help you. I think there's even a mileage chart for distances between different points in Bissel.

Good luck.

Yep, Greyhawk was menat for YOU to detail, or to go buy up those ESD's that give some hints of what is going on.

If you want free info, your best bet is track down all of the various Living Greyhawk Triad sites, and see what they have written up for their regions.

Of cours, that means that you won't get much info on places like Iuz, or the Pomarj (i.e. evil nations...), but then the characters shouldn't know much about them anyway!
