D&D 5E [GUIDE] So art lies hid by its own artifice - an artificer guide

Enhanced Arcane Focus: not as good as the other basic magic items, because the spells are already magical and this doesn't boost damage. On the other hand as an Alchemist or Artillerist you probably want one for yourself. If your GM uses an excess of terrain features then it improves in utility.
Alchemical Savant requires using your Alchemical Tools as your focus, which this infusion cannot be applied to.

Even if you think it still has value, swapping to a different focus for those spells that wouldn't benefit from Alchemical Savant, it should probably be called out. As written, it kind of implies that Alchemists and Artillerists get similar value.

Sorry for being so slow to notice your comment! Very good point, now addressed.

Armorer losing shield and the defensive field nerf were quite the bummer. The new infusions and the early access homonculus were nice though.

I agree, losing shield in particular is a shame, and rather odd thematically. The limitation on defensive field uses makes sense and stops you having permanent immunity to repeatable low-level damage. I'm not sure why it counts to your proficiency mod, rather than Intelligence mod.

Guide now updated.
