mind the gap.
That picture makes it look like everything is close together.
However, not counting multi-star systems (binary/trinary, etc), stars seem to be spaced out by a light year or more.
So all these planets are really cool, except for the fact that we can't get there from here.
And, as the universe is 12+ billion years old, and a species might exist for 1 million years means that some planets may host life, but that life isn't Radio-Ready yet or peaked a billion years ago and there's nothing to see now.
We really need FTL to get to the good stuff.
