Not sure an automatic class feature can qualify as a trap, technically, but yeah it isn’t OP in the current rules.

if it drains class resource budget too much for it's effect, that it is a trap. In this case, a whole class trap.

Lol nah. It’s a solid feature that people are freaking out about because the old one held more of the classes power budget, while this version has that budget more spread out.
