I created a set of airships for my players, which I later turned into a kickstarter. One of the options was based off the Undead Hulk from Aerial Adventures (and old supplement Mearls designed). Conferred various benefits on undead who were aboard the ship and such (+2 to AC, resistance to radiant damage, etc).
You might not have airships in your campaign, no need to worry. You can just apply that template onto aregular, sailing ship. Said ship can be imbued with a semblance of sentience for even more fun.
