Quellathe moved into the tunnel and shot two arrows up at the orc guard whom just shouted but the first stuck into the giant shield in front of him and the second bounced off its thick helmet. Levanna summoned Ciymthrax to fly forward to aid Uhtred. Kelvyn moved onto the stairs and with a strange color spray blinded the first orc. It cursed in its foul language, blinking blindly as it tried to shake off the effects. Tirion also started to ascend the stairs and summoning divine spiritual guardians caused another guard to curse in pain as they attacked the guard's soul! Uhtred dashed up the stairs to reach the blinded orc who was still blinking its eyes.

The wounded orc, still flaying at the spirits assaulting it threw one of its javelins at Tirion but missed. Another guard threw a javelin at the cleric but he easily side-stepped the throw. An orc guard runs at Uhtred and manages to land a light blow off the dwarf's shoulder guard but his armor absorbs most of the blow. One orc shot a crossbow bolt the caught Kelvyn a cut across his thigh and then another of the orc guards raced with amazing speed to chop at the rogue that inflicted a deep cut another his shoulder and almost felling the trickster!!

GM: Sorry about missing the advantage for Tirion. For my mistake there give Tirion +1 Inspiration Point

With a tie, Heroes go first.

Levanna moved to K12 (so she still have cover from Orcs) and summons Ciymthrax to aid Uhtred. He now has advantage with one attack per round.
Kelvyn moves to K7 (remember the stairs are difficulty terrain) and casts Color Spray. The orcs are 18 HP each so it affects Orc #1 is Blinded.
Tirion moves to K7 and casts Spirit Guardians on Orc #2, Wisdom Save: 1D20 = [3] = 3, fails. It takes 12 damage (bring it down to 6 HP)
Uhtread moves to L8 and then Dashes to K6.

Orc #1 doesn't do anything this round as it does not even realize that Uhtred is within melee as it is still cursing. On its next round it will not be blind but Uhtred gains advantage on his attack rolls vs. it.
Orc #2 throws a javelin at Tirion, Attack and damage if it hits: 1D20+5 = [7]+5 = 12; 1D6+3 = [3]+3 = 6, miss! It then moves to J5 to get full cover behind the tower shield.
Orc #3 shots a crossbow blot at Tirion, Attack and damage if it hits: 1D20+3 = [7]+3 = 10; 1D10+1 = [2]+1 = 3, miss. It then moves to H5 to get full cover behind the tower shield.
Orc #4 moves to J6 to attack Uhtred, Attack and damage if it hits: 1D20+5 = [15]+5 = 20; 1D8+3 = [1]+3 = 4, hit for 1 damage (after Heavy Armor Mastery, bringing him down to 63 HP).
Orc #5 shots a crossbow bolt at Kelvyn, Attack and damage if it hits: 1D20+3 = [18]+3 = 21; 1D10+1 = [5]+1 = 6 hit for 6 damage (if he did not recover any during the short rest he is down to 13 HP). It then moves to full cover behind the tower shield.
Orc #6 moves to and then uses Aggression to move another 6 squares to J7 as a bonus action. He then attacks Kelvyn, Attack and damage if it hits: 1D20+5 = [13]+5 = 18; 1D8+3 = [8]+3 = 11 ow, hit for 11 damage (bring him down to 2 HP!)[/sblock]

Urging Levanna to stay behind her, Quellathe moved to her left, aimed again and shot two more arrows at the orcs. The first arrow missed, but the second struck true.

If Levanna needs to move up to be in range with Acid Splash, Q will move with her.

Q is up to 42 HP and Naeris is back to full strength thanks to Tiron's spell (that might have help Kelvyn out, too?) Sorry I forgot to include my mini stat block last time.[/sblock]

Uhtred rolled his shoulder as a blow struck him, barely feeling a scratch. Seeing an orc cursing without doing anything Uhtred refocused his attacks, swining at him hoping to make best use of the orc's disability. His first blow cleaved straight through the orc and Uhtred carried his swing round to the next orc.

OOC: I should have mentioned it’s difficult terrain for the orcs in the area around Tirion covered by the spirits. Don’t know if that would have saved Kelvyn some hurt or not.


With the spirits still swirling and attacking the orcs within fifteen feet of him, Tirion swung his mace at the orc engaged with him. It just connected on the orc’s head, felling it to the floor. Tirion waded further into battle toward Kelvyn to help out the rogue.

Reeling from the pain of the wounds, Kelvyn steps back and lets Tiron take the Orc down. He fumbles in a pouch and pulls a vial of red liquid and downs it quickly before tossing the vial aside.

The elven ranger moved swiftly to get a better angle with her bow and shot at one of the orcs twice. The first arrow missed but the second slammed into the brutes shoulder causing him to grunt in pain. The orc shock his head once and growled at Quellathe as he ignored the drow-sleeping poison that had coated the arrow. Levanna moved to behind the range and shot a glob of acid at one of the orcs but the creature’s shield came up too fast and it fizzled harmless. Kelvyn drank a quick potion of healing and felt slightly invigorated by it. Tirion basted one of the orcs in front of him, knocking the creature down. Uhtred chopped the blind orc almost in two and then slashed the other creature that was assaulting him.

The pair of the orcs behind cover stayed where they were. Uhtred saw on nearby brute reloading its crossbow. The sole surviver of the first group of orcs slashed at the dwarf with its battle axe but missed. From back further in the room a great roar was heard as additional orcs rushed to engaged the group, heedless of any danger or their dead companions. The first slashed at Kelvyn but missed. Three other rushed down the stairs to slash at Tirion but only one managed to get past his defenses. The a large pair of ogres, both dressed in black studded leather armor and masks raced forward. One caught Uthred with an unbalanced attack. The dwarf felt he might have been lucky that the huge axe did not catch him squarely or he might not still be standing!! The other ogre threw a large sized javelin at the dwarf but missed badly…
