Illithid, Ulitharid (noble Mindflayer), XXX (royal Mindflayer)

Hi,

Illithid = 4 tentacles

Ulitharid = 6 tentacles

royal Mindflayer = 8 tentacles

--> Does anyone have fluff and/or 3.5 stats for the 8-tentacle 'Flayers
btw: How are they called?

I remember a homepage where they where discusses, but can not longer find the link...

Please help!

I've never heard of an 8-tentacled Flayer. Count me as interested to know more about these also (if they exist). I love Illithids!

I haven't heard of an eight-tentacle mind flayer, either.

However, with the advancement rules, it shouldn't be a problem. AN idea I've tinkering with is when you advance the mind flayer, it gains an additional tentacle per two Hid dice (I.e., a typical mind flayer with 8 HD has 4 tentacles, the noble mind flayer with 12 HD has 6 tentacles, so as one advances further, a 'royal' mind flayer could have 16 HD and therefore have 8 tentacles.
