Illodeli.com: Pick your Own

Illodeli.com is a new online store which offers publishers the chance to buy artwork for their publications and immediately download it at print resolution.

Illodeli.com features the work of industry illustrators Scotty Purdy, Andy Hepworth and Jon Hodgson.

We have a range of work from full colour covers right down to black and white spot art, all at great prices, and unavailable anywhere else.

Illodeli.com is launching in public beta mode, so currently our catalogue is a small selection of work, with plans for expansion on the immediate horizon. Regular updates are also in the pipeline, so check back often or sign up for our newsletter.

Our licenses are extremely simple. Each purchase allows the non-exclusive single use within one product. This is the barest baseline of use we could come up with, which allows us to give the cheapest possible price. Our filler and spot art is sold under a wider license which allows reuse within one product. Which seemed only fair!

We survived our first week of public beta! Lots of great feedback, some sales, and lots of work adding new images, updating the FAQ, making some images available in more formats and generally streamlining the illodeli.com experience!

Notably we've had a lot of requests from artists wanting to join the site to sell work. This wasn't something we had originally planned to do for a little while, but we've received so many requests that we are now considering our options. We'll be sure to keep you informed!

Will you be taking resquest for specific types of genre?

Hi Louis,
We mainly have generic fantasy art at the moment and have work in the pipeline to fill out this theme, along with plans to expand to horror and sci-fi themes. If you have any other themes that you'd like to see on the site we will gladly receive suggestions!

Well our first two weeks in public beta have passed, and the buzz is good! We've had some excellent feedback and commentary, more art has been added, our FAQs have been updated, artwork is now offered in multiple categories should you want that special interior piece as a cover you can now have it.

Here's a selection of work featured on the site, with prices ranging from $3 to $60:

Lord of War - Greyscale interior, full page, by Andy Hepworth (credits include Changeling, Vampire, Dragon Warriors) - $35

Wolf Bane cover by Andy Hepworth - $45

A selction of black and white work, quarter page and fillers by Andy and Scott. Price range from $3 for the smaller pieces to $10 for our dwarven friend there.
