Inactive Publishers speak up!

So has anyone compiled a list of publishers who announced or made a single d20 product and haven't been heard from since? I don't want to be ghoulish, but is anyone has any info on the following:

Affinity Games: (http://www.affinitygames.com/) Windhaven looked awesome. And now ?

Airweaver: (http://www.affinitygames.com/) Made one semi-okay module and now ?

Citizen Games (http://www.citizengames.com/d20.htm) I know Path of the Magi is coming out but that's being published by Troll Lords and was announced ages ago. Any updates?

Dark Nebula (http://www.darknebulae.com/) I enjoyed the Materia Magica book and it looked like they were going to be hitting some big books soon. Heck, even a Monte PrC to download from their site.

Scarabgames (http://www.scarabgames.com/) Came out with Brotherhood of Propecy and ?

Skrimisher Publishing: (http://www.skirmisher.com/) Came out with Experts and is working on Warriors last I heard but the website is out of date and a little confusing.

Stanton Industries (http://www.stantonindustries.com/) Came out with the Void some time ago and ?

Gaslight Press (http://www.gaslightpress.com/) I'm telling you, Everway with it's organizations and plane travel would make an excellent Plaenscape substitutde but their first book in the Sun & Scale line was pretty good and promised to be a good campaign starter and now?

Now 3.5 may have threw some poeple off, which is why I didn't list Inner City Games who held back their full color monster book or a few other companies but any info on the above would be appreciated.

EDIT: Removed Paradigm and SkeletonKey Games as information has been provided and is in the body of the posts.

SkeletonKey Games is shifting gears a little bit. It has been much more profitable for me to work as a freelancer than a publisher so my focus has been shifted away from the publishing.

Orcs: Legacy of Blood is coming up in Volume 5 of Gaming Frontiers. It is more than 30 pages of orcish goodness...er...nastyness. Contributing writers include Wil Upchurch, Joseph Carriker, Bret Boyd and Brannon Hollingsworth.

Realms of Adventure is a series of PDF maps for use with miniatures that should be hitting RPGnow sometime after GenCon (no idea exactly when, I am booked solid with illustration and cartography through September but I would like to get them out before that).

Some of the products that I had planned through SkeletonKey are now being developed by me for other publishers. More on that soon. There may be a preview of one of them at GenCon if I can get it together before I leave.

SkeletonKey Games will serve as a PDF publisher and development studio for my creative projects. The SkeletonKey Games name will be attached to some products and not to others, but development news will be posted there as I can talk about it.

Cheers - Ed

Don't count Dark Nebulae out yet. There have been some delays--the precise reasons for which I remain mostly ignorant, and wouldn't have the right to comment on even if I knew, since I'm just a freelancer--but they're still kicking, and they've still got some nifty books coming in the future.

Believe me, I'm as anxious to see their next book hit shelves as you are, considering that I wrote a huge chunk of it. :)

Wow we were so forgotten were not even on the forgotten list!

That would be Heathen Oracle's only product "Bane of the Salt Fen Lich" now a POD.

Heathen Oracle

Heathen is in process of completing an entire world by our lone writer Chris Heath (whom has a day job). BUT, there should be a head above water in about a month.

Just thought some might want to know.

I'll climb on board here too.

Phoenix Rising Games has been delayed on our first product Adventure Anthologies, Volume 1: Dawn of Heroes. This is due to two illnesses (one of which was a hospitalization) and a "bombed" submission. We estimate a delay of up to two weeks. We'll be sure to let you know what's going on.

Paradigm is still going strong.

I just finished the cover for their Legacy of Damnation book due out in a few months and I'm about to start on the Arcanis Players' Guide cover.

IIRC, they had decided to delay much of their output to bring it in line with 3.5 -- and then delay a bit further when they saw the long list of GenCon releases.

This is, of course, info obtained from the AD and channelled through a lowly freelancer, so I could be a bit off.

Take care,

Hello Joe,

You know Joe, I've seen that you spend ALOT of time on this forum as well as others. I would imagine that you must spend hours behind a key board.

Wouldn't it have been in better taste to have merely emailed the companies you listed rather than making the rather tasteless posting you made here?

I can't speak for the other company's websites, but I know mine is on ours.

Why not take the time to email me next time you have a question.

And for the record, Mindflayers has been out for about 7 weeks or so now. Hardly a timeperiod for a company to be considered out of business.

I don't know that I'd call this tasteless. He had a question about a number of publishers, and he asked it. I don't think there's anything inappropriate or rude about asking "Hey, what happened to these folks?" This was as good a place to do it as any, especially given that he was wondering about a large number of publishers.

If he'd had a specific beef with someone then yes, private e-mail would be the wa to go. But I just don't see why this topic rates as "tasteless."

(Apologies in advance for the hijack. ;))

I have to agree with the Rodent of the Dark. I thought the original post was well thought out and polite. It was only the Paradigm response which struck me as somewhat rude.

Just one consumer's opinion.

Lumping a company with a dozen products, a "Living" campaign and an extensive website in with others that may have made a single announcement prior to disappearing seems a bit misleading, albeit unintentionally. I'm sure Joe has no malice in mind but as he's a reviewer who's words hold some sway with the community I can understand Henry taking exception to the inference. I think it is unfortunte that Joe chose to include Paradigm in his above listing...

*edit* ...especially considering the subject line of the thread.
