I have been working on homebrew settings for years now, pretty much since I first started reading fantasy fiction and playing fantasy video games (before I even got into tabletop role-playing games ten long years ago). I have enjoyed it greatly and at times it was the main reason I was involved in gaming..
But now? Its gone. It seems my ability to go from initial idea to an almost complete setting has dwindled down to nothing. My last setting (which I put into its most recent form a little over a year ago) was probably my greatest work thus far with the campaign guide exceeding sixty pages.
Has this happened to any of you before? What have you done about it? Should I keep raging against the dying of the light or move on to the Forgotten Realms like I have been contemplating?
