What's In the Fatemaster's Guide

The Fatemaster's Guide, or FMG as the fans have begun to lovingly call it, is a vast toolbox that can be used to not only run better Warsong games, but also to allow you to get a more in-depth look at the world of Eldorande and the people and monsters that call it home. It includes new Quirks to power up with, many more character creation options to broaden your player's horizons for generation and growth and we include an option to create other TYPES of characters such as Cultists of the Ascending Firmament, the shapeshifting Quicksilver Tribes the Fated-Hunting Scourge and even the monstrous and hungry Void-Touched who plague Eldorande and signal the coming of the end of the world.

New Quirks

To go a little deeper, the Fatemaster's Guide will include an extensive list of Quirks. For those of you that don't know what a Quirk is, it's kind of like a feat in another type of tabletop RPG, only you get them much more frequently (typically one per level) and they can grant bonuses as well as new powers for your character to wield and use. These range from the epitomous Sand in the Eye that allows the Ascending Fundament to totally avoid the workings of the Fated to the lesser known Eat Anything quirk, which allows the void-Touched to eat anything and gain nourishment from it.

New Playable Characters

In addition to a whole new set of Quirks comes a whole new set of playable characters. This addition will allow Fatemasters to build more detailed antagonists as well as allow players to explore new avenues of play. Included in the Fatemaster's Guide will be rules for building and playing other character types, suc as the Cult of Ascending Firmament, whose purpose is to promote the lives of mortal's and protect them from the massive powers that be within the world, or the Quicksilver Tribe, shapeshifting, lycanthropic beings touched by the ancient and primordial chaos of Spelhuir and even the infamous Scourge, whose sole purpose in life is to track down and kill the Star Fated.

Ægis Power Armor

One of the most awesome things that will appear in the Fatemaster's Guide will be detailed rules on Ægis Power Armor. This is a long-awaited rules system for using Ægis Power Armor, which is a powerful suit of armor that fits over the body like an exoskeleton, increasing strength, durability, soak and movement. In addition to these new mechanics will be included Quirks specifically designed for use with Ægis Power Armor, such as Quick Entry, which allows the character to slip into power armor within a turn, instead of a full round. Rules on how to build the armor, maintenance issues as well as statistics blocks and accessories will be included in this awesome upgrade to the armor rules.

Much, Much More

The Fatemaster's Guide is a toolbox that will help you, as a Fatemaster to understand Eldorande in much more detail, as well as help you with key concepts in your game, and how you can design encounters and entire campaigns within the Warsong world. New equipment, magical items and non-player characters each designed to give you plot hooks and a variety of new and powerful mechanics to explore
