Yes. The Arthurian Cycle ends with Arthur, mortally wounded at the battle of Camlann, being taken by four queens to the mystical Isle of Avalon on a barge, there to remain and recover from his wound "until Britain's time of need." It is for this reason that T.H. White named his marvelous novel of Arthur "The Once and Future King".
