If someone is wrong then I'm going to correct him. I can concede that in some weird way WotC linked weapon size to creature size. But how big or long a weapon is still has no meaning to gaining reach. They did clarify in the Rules Compendium that a smaller reach weapon loses that property, which I agree with. But by RAW a bigger weapon doesn't gain it and by RAW a reach weapon of proper (or biger size) doubles reach. It's like you're saying, "Reach weapon doubles natural reach". That is the RAW. There is no other rule that makes exceptions. Even if by RAW a weapon is too short to reach 15 ft., by RAW it does. Now you can only houserule it or argue what's considered "natural reach". I gave my opinion on what's "natural reach".
And with that I'm out of this thread. This off-topic lasted way too long and I'm tired & bored by this. RAW is RAW, houserules are houserules. Do what you want, but know the difference.
