LOL I've been using their minifigs for D&D since over a decade ago. Not officially for D&D but Lego have released plenty of suitable minifigures for both PCs and monsters, plus many giant dragons. What has always been missing is large/huge monsters, you have to build those yourself (there was some giant/ogre minifig in different colors years ago but I never liked it).

Back in the early 90s I used the pirate and castle lines for D&D
