Long range alarm-type spell?

Alarm is handy and all, but is there something with a better range? If I am on another plane, and my phylactery is getting raided, it would be nice to know. Is it possible to have an alarm spell send a mental alarm to a simple golem, which then spams me with sending till I come turn it off? How would I construct such a golem?


Also, after passwall has worn off, and the passage closed up, is there any trace of magic on the rock that detect magic could pick up?
