Don't be afraid to post before your init comes up. In situations like this against a single opponent, the order of PCs reactions matter a little less. I can sort things out.[/sblock]

Xandren, standing on the bottom of the ship, sees the skeleton standing next to him. The warforged swings his huge blade at the undead. The strength of the warrior counters the drag from the great blade, and the weapon strikes cleanly through the armor and into the bone beneath. The skeleton stumbles, the blade stuck in his ribcage. Xandren jerks the undead around in the water, and right into line with with a burning ray of energy from Thormir. The dwarf's blast of magic hits the skeleton in the arm, burning completely through the joint, and it floats away on the currents. Xandren jerks his blade free, and undead sinks to the bottom of the ship.

Lorn using his magic helps the crates to the stairs of the rapidly sinking ship. The wizard is able to move closer to the stairs to help steady them so they can escape with the supplies.

With no time to even savor the taste of victory Lorn pulled himself back to the stairs. Clinging to them like a drowning rat he gestered with his staff toward the back of the ship, causing the light spell he had cast to wink out from around them and reappear in the rear of the hold.

We've got to get out of here! Thormir do you see anything else back there that might help us.

Even as he spoke he was gesturing again with his staff. The end of his self-made lifeline began to snake toward the dwarf, guided by a ghostly hand.

Look quick, there's nothing here worth dying for.

How big are the crates, i.e. how hard are they going to be to move?

Lorn moves the crates to the edge of the stairs. A few moments later with the strength of the warforged and hobgoblin, the crates sit on the deck of the ship once more. It won't be too long before the waters begin washing on the deck of the ship. That was the least of their worries though.

In the brief period they spent in the hold, the blue skies have clouded over, and thunder rumbles in the distance. The gloom sends a sense of dread in The Lost. The ocean is still, waves can no longer be heard crashing against the hull. The silence is broken by the caws of a group of crows on the mast above you. They fly back towards shore, towards the ruined keep that has returned to it's spot on the cliff.

The rowboat that The Lost used to come here is still tied to the railing to the railing of the ship. The crates have simple latches that unclasp when they are ready to remove the lids.

Common! Get these to the skiff, quick! We'll worry about the shore when we get there. Hesh puts action into motion, while looking for any other skiffs if they'll need them.

Lorn doesn't waste any time, and does his best to help move the crates into the rowboat.

At least we won't have to lower them over the edge of the ship at this rate.
