Basic question; Can I throw 2 stones if I have the Extra attack feature?

Magic Stone
Transmutation cantrip
Casting Time:
1 bonus action
Range:
To u c h

Components:

V, S

Duration:
1 minute
You touch one to three pebbles and imbue them with
magic. You or someone else can make a ranged spell
attack with one of the pebbles by throwing it or hurling
it with a sling. If thrown, it has a range of 60 feet. If
someone else attacks with the pebble, that attacker adds
your spellcasting ability modifier, not the attacker’s, to
the attack roll. On a hit, the target takes bludgeoning
damage equal to 1d6 + your spellcasting ability modifier.
Hit or miss, the spell then ends on the stone.
If you cast this spell again, the spell ends early on any
pebbles still affected by it.

Are you proficient with spell attacks?
It only tells you to add your modifier to the attack, not your spellcasting attack bonus...
and the close sling range is shorter than the hurling range. You also have to note that it does not scale with level and that it is unclear, if you make a ranged spell attack when you hurl it with a sling or if you just make a regular ranged attack with your sling...

Are you proficient with spell attacks?
Yes. Everyone is proficient in spells.

The damage doesn't scale, but that's fine. You scale by throwing more of them faster.

Also you use the spell casting modifier of whoever cast the spell (and whatever class they got the spell from), not necessarily the person who's throwing it.

when you say I can use the spell between attacks, do you mean I can Volley up to 6 targets with this as long as I cast it last turn, hit 3 then cast it again?

No.

Conjure Volley doesn't really care what you throw. It does the same damage weather it's a pillow or an avail. The only thing that changes is the damage type.
Conjure volley on a thrown anvil seems pretty awesome...
What else could we do that would be funnier?
Pianos
fish
cats
guitars
legos
alchemical fire?
snowballs!
marshmallows
little bits of glass/sand

could I use a halfling as an improvised throwing weapon?
