Is anyone still thinking about this concept?

Some quick notes from the last time I tried to do the conversion (to 3.5e)
Character classes are the more minor spellcaster type detailed on the cards (i.e. Embermage)
Planeswalker is available, but as an epic only prestige class. Some divine rank is also accumulated to account for the powers described in the books.
Normal spellcasting is done by “recalling” mana from a memory of a land.
Spellcasters have X mana-taps available to them per day (ala spell points). Anything spent over that causes damage (mana burn).
Mana-taps are gained 1) automatically per level (roll on chart so you can get some of the funky lands) or 2) by seeking out, meditating and attuning to the land (several hour or day process)
Spells are cast by spending mana taps (like the card game)
Spell level translates pretty literally – 1 level/colorless mana required on card + 1 ½ levels/colored mana. Round up or down as per power of the spell. So, an incinerate spell (1R) would be a level 3 spell (1 + 1 + ½ ; round up – its powerful)
Spells have a color descriptor.
