D&D 5E Manuals of things that aren't golems

Shield guardians and helmed horrars are specifically described to have been created by wizards, and someone had to have animated that armor. The question is how?

Is the animated armor significantly easier to create? How does a helmed horrar compair with a golem or other constructs as far as complexity in construction? How pricy are they all and do they need rare objects to complete? What other constructs would a wizard or other magic user feesibly construct?

The wizard could makd absolutely anything.

I think you could answer your questions yourself by knowing one key fact: The Manual of Golems exists as such because it comes from a real world, Jewish myth involving the Book of Creation.

So its inclusion in the game is a reference to that myth, and because of that it is not meant to be about other sorts of constructs. Yet there is nothing stopping you from adding in more various other sorts of similar items in the game.

Oh, and if you're looking for inspiration, 3rd edition did indeed have rules in the monster manual's constructs for creating them, without even needing a magical tome to do so.

Here's the shield guardian, for example.

Edit: and the golems, too, to show that even though 3e had the magical Manuals for golems, it wasn't the only way to create them back then, either.
