, his adventuring companion, some 30-odd years ago. One area where he lacks any humor whatsoever is his deep enmity with Cadwych; he will refuse services to anyone who admits to doing business with him. Neither party will discuss the nature of their feud.
It is unknown whether Marrus is skilled in any magical arts. He deflects any questions on the matter. Regardless, he has uncanny knowledge of the subject, and is the only one in town who will certify magical items sufficiently for Cadwych to buy them. This service costs 100 gp per item, though Marrus is hardly a stickler for prices. Unlike Cadwych, Marrus is easily humored, and will barter item identification for strange and unusual services. Such tasks are as often deadly as silly, and never make sense.
