Melee Weapon Mastery from PHB 2

Longbow

First Post
Greetings,

I have a question regarding the feat "Melee Weapon Mastery" from the PHB 2.
I have a Barbarian5/Fighter4 with BAB+9 , STR 20, a Greatsword+1 and the feats Weapon Focus (Greatsword) and Weapon Specialisation (Greatsword).
So my normal attacks and damage should be +16/+11 (2W6+10).

Now I choose Melee Weapon Mastery (Slashing) as my new feat at level 9.

1. When I wield my Greatsword+1 what is the correct attack bonus and damage?

a) +18/+13 (2W6+12)?

b) +17/+12 (2W6+10)?

c) no change at all?

2. I´m wielding a different weapon, a Glaive+1. What is my attack bonus?

a) +17/+12

b) +16/+11

This has come up before...
The summary text and the rule text disagree. My interpretation of the rule text is that the character gets a +2 to hit and damage with any qualifiying weapon, including the weapon that he had specialized in.

Is this correct?

If you accept the WotC promulgated rule that 'text trumps table', then yes.

However, I recall seeing an earlier thread where a clarification was issued by WotC (can't remember if through Service Desk, FAQ, or what) that it didn't stack with Wpn Focus/Spec.

Our group plays that it stacks and grants +2 attack bonus and damage to all weapons of selected type - including the weapon with which Weapon Focus/Spec is held.
RAW, yes, it's correct (and that's how my group plays it).

(Uh-oh, looks like Greater Weapon Focus just ran out of the room crying. Someone go comfort her.)

Cheers, -- N
I don't even see what this has to do with "text trumps table." The summary descriptions for feats and spells are not real information about them.
The official errata for PHB2 clarifies this. It gives the +2 bonus and stacks with weapon focus, greater weapon focus, weapon specialization, and greater weapon specialization.

Add the following the two following sentence to the end of the Benefit section: Weapons with two damage types (such as the morningstar, which does bludgeoning and piercing damage) the benefits of Melee Weapon Mastery (bludgeoning) and Melee Weapon Mastery (piercing) do not stack. But the bonuses from this feat do stack with those gained from Weapon Focus and Weapon Specialization.
