After last weeks distractions, I think we would be best off by picking up just after everyone gets trained is about to leave with Rose. We will probably go over everything that Rose knows, then Lord Tannerson might have a brief bit to add.
Just to be clear, the manor you are travelling to is about 4 days walk away. That is a full speed walk, so the manor is close to 100 miles away. If you forage for food on the way, you will drag that out to 8-9 days. Technically speaking, the manor is within the lands of Greerson. Practically speaking, Greerson doesn't generally patrol a lot to the North. For a fairly uptight and lawful society, they are also very open. Pretty much, if you are abiding by all the laws, they don't hassle you. Break the laws and they might come down on you with all the force that they can muster. When that might include people that have been given a divine gift to turn into a huge bear, it gets rather scary. That's why it is important to know the laws.
As an aside, if you had found the bandit camp to be larger, and had snuck up on them, you could have also sent somebody back to tell Lord Tannerson and he would have rounded up reinforcements to come help. As it was, the group wasn't too big for you to take on, so it worked out well. I just wanted to point out that you are not obligated to commit suicide by taking on a clearly superior force.
In other news, by the time you are leaving, some of you have already served out 2 1/2 months of your sentence.
