Monsters with classes???

When I do it I just use the best of everything so:

Kuo Toa 8th level Fighter:

AC: 4 (Kuo toa, can't see them in plate!)
Move: 9, Sw 18 (move is race based)
HD 8d10 (Ftr best)
THAC0: 13 (Ftr best)
No. of Attacks: 1 + 3/2 (natural plus Ftr attacks, specialisation may change this)
Damage/Attack: 2-5 + wep
Special as Kuo Toa and save as Ftr.

Morning!

I'm probably biased about this, but a Flind Gnoll blacksmith turned tank adventurer sounds like a comfortable place to game. Although I know gnolls generally don't tend towards the think-first school of combat (or anything else), Flinds seem to be 'gnoll upgrades', as it were. I don't think a skilled occupation like smithing would be beyond them, either in physical ability or sticking to the job. Besides, my story won't make nearly as much sense as Boethermsbrukan being a blacksmith initially, than not.
