I realize this issue is so 6 months ago, but can anyone explain why Moon Ivy armor (from Arms & Equipment Guide) should cost 16,000 gold?
I mean, it's a cool concept certainly, and has good stats (+4 AC /+6 MaxDex), but IMC we get attacked at night quite frequently. This armor doesn't even exist 1/3 of the time. It literally cost more than all the other non-magical armors in the Arms & Equipment Guide and the PHB put together.
Look at it another way, +3 leather armor is 9,160 gold for +5 AC/+6 MaxDex, or go all the way to +4 leather for 16,160 gold with +6 AC/+6 MaxDex. Leather would be much easier to come by and would protect you night and day. +2 studded leather is only 4,175 gold for +5 AC/+5 MaxDex, or 9,175 for +6 AC/+5 MaxDex. Heck, you could probably even sleep in enchanted +4 Padded armor (+5AC/+8 MaxDex) for a mere 16,155 gold.
So, maybe Moon Ivy was supposed to be 1,600 gold?
