Moving and drawing a weapon...

Apparently there is a rule saying if you BaB is +1 or higher, you can move into combat and draw at the same time.

Wouldn't that semi-defeat the purpose of quick draw?

Either way, would be awesome to know, if anyone has a page number.

Thanks!

Its true, though the page # i do not have.

Quickdraw has plenty of uses. Very usefull if you need to make more than one attack.

PHB p141, footnote 4 to Table 8-2. "Combined with a regular move".

So, for example, if you Charge, you can't draw without the feat - it's a full round action, and you aren't making a regular move.

If you throw multiple daggers, you need the Quick Draw feat.

If you're someone who regularly switches between reach weapon and (close) melee weapon, or melee weapon and ranged weapon, the Quick Draw feat is useful.

Quickdraw is great in a surprise round. While others are merely readying their weapons, you have a chance of actually using yours.

Level 4 ftr1/rog3 halfling rogue with TWF and Rapid Shot. Yupp, he would need Quickdraw for sneak attack smackdowns with throwing weapons.
