Multiple Games Stat Blocks

Reynard

I am working on a project that will ultimately be useful for multiple RPGS (5E, Shadowdark, OSR, etc).

Is it better to make a single book with multiple stat block versions in it, or to create different versions of the book for each game system you want to support?

For clarity, this will be a small indie product sold via DTRPG.

I would rather have statblocks for just the game I'm playing and not other systems that I am not playing at that moment or even do not have. I generally just play D&D 5e and would not want 5e stats next to 4e in one book nevermind 5e stats next to Star Wars or something.

If you're not concerned about print runs, then you might as well make the separate books. If you're writing them offset, then really you want a larger number of one book than smaller numbers of multiple books, as the print costs go down drastically with volume.
