Need help with Dark Queen of Krynn

Yes, it is the old TSR/SSI game from about 25 years ago.
I cannot get into the palace in New Arium. I have the clay pass and am wearing the thenol army uniform but all I get is the bash/pick/knock option that doesn't let you in.
I have been instructed to see the commander but when I go to his house I get the "the commander cannot be disturbed message".

Any ideas?

I played this game around 25 years ago so I'm afraid I'm no help.
But if you haven't thought of this already just go to Google and enter "Dark Queen of Krynn Walkthrough".

Several walkthroughs popped up for me although I think I'll let you do your own research.

Oh, and let me applaud you for playing a classic game. I also like to play older games when time permits. Good luck!

Thanks, i did google but couldn't find an answer. I have since worked it out though.
