Need help with Health recovery math

I have gone with 15 min short rest. 3× a day.

Health recovered from HDs fixed to amount of HP you would got for leveling in that class(round up). That is:

HD d6; 4+con mod HP healed.



Reworked and buffed up durable:

+1 con,

Short rest is 5 min, 5× a day,
HDs heals their max value, d6 heals for 6+con mod.

If it works, it is a simple way to do it. Like I wrote, it depends on what is needed to fully recover HP.

With this idea in mind, the PC would have to take what is roughly 10 hours to recover all HP, not all that far from the basic 8 hours long rest.

Yep, but it allows up to 25% from each of the three shorter period rests the OP wants.

I was saying that I think you found the solution. Keep it simple, 25% per rest, 4 rest to go full HP. Long rest based class regain their resources on the 8h recovery.
