One of my favourite C-A.G. is U.S. Patent No. 1. Essentially, all the players race around trying to be the first to build a time machine and get to the patent office.

As for the Munchkin angle, have you considered Star Munchkin (sci fi version), Munchkin Fu (Chop socky version), Munchkin Bites (World of Dorkness), or any of the expansion sets (M- Unnatural Axe, Clerical Errors or SM - Clown Wars)) I would also suggest Munchkin Blender if he already has more than one set of Munchkin games... it allows you to mix them all together in a nasty evil game...

Mark - Lord of the Rings: The Confrontation and Guillotine Card Game look promising. Have you played either? Is there a lot of strategy involved in the LotR game? Guillotine looks like fun, in a similar vain to Munchkin.

Guillotine is a load of fun, good for any quick-game situation. It's also easy to learn, but it's one of those games that's very difficult to get sick of. I highly reccomend it.
