I'm looking to start up something here (but in a good way). I'd like to start up a monthly contest with a 24-hour timeframe to create something new for 4e. Anyone who wants to participate can do during that time but on certain conditions...
1. It must be designed at work/school or somewhere else other than the comforts of home. No sourcebooks allowed, no DDI, or any references. It will be on the honour system, but that's the main catch. You're relying on your memory of the rules to make it work. This will exclude neuro-surgeons from having the time to invest on these contests, but I can live with that.
2. It must be 4e and compatible with the GSL.
3. The topic will not be announced until the day of the contest and they will not be easy (but they won't be hard either, just challenging).
However, I want to get some feedback and thoughts before going through with this. This will be connected to our Combat Advantage series of free PDFs. If we go with a winning entry concept (which I'm still leaning towards), the winner will have to be voted on and gets an edition of Combat Advantage all to itself. Everyone but myself are allowed to enter.
Thoughts?
