The confusion here is that the two restrictions aren't what you (and lehua768, Khime, and Holy Bovine) think they are. Aulirophile, of course, is exactly right as far as he goes.
"According to what you can cast per day for your level" means that for the maximum set of spells you can prepare, look at your level. At 9th level (for instance), you can prepare one 9th level spell, one 5th level spell, and one 1st level daily spell -- but you can use any daily slot to prepare a lower level daily. So at -most-, you can have (at 9th) a 9th level, a 5th level, and a 1st level -- but you could also have two 5th level spells prepared, or a 9th and two 1st level spells -- etc.
My understanding, based on the FAQ for the spellbook class feature (which logically applies to the swordmage feat) is that when you gain a daily power, you choose two powers of that level or lower to go into your spellbook. After an extended rest, you fill that level's spell slot with one of those two powers. So you get two level 1 dailies at level 1, and you can prepare either of those after an extended rest. At level 5, you get two more dailies, and you could choose two level 5 dailies, two level 1 dailies, or a level 5 and a level 1 daily for that level. When preparing your dailies, your level 5 'slot' must be filled by one of the two powers you chose at level 5; you can't use one of the two dailies you chose at level 1 for that slot.
