Obi-Andy's Pathfinder Chronicles: Chapter 1 - Burnt Offerings

Lali, seeing the enormous plume of smaoke and flame, urges Amrak towards the flames. Seeing a few goblins through the smoke, she bears down on one, but some smoke gets in her eyes and she narrowly misses [Hit=13 (miss)] . The goblin, taken off guard, stares dumbly at her.

Korbok, swearing he sees more goblins through the smoke starting to blow around the square, fires his crossbow in that direction. Hoping against hope, he is rewarded with a yelp from the area.

Max dives for cover near a table and draws another dagger, trying to get a better view through the gathering smoke.

Cecilia, wounded but steady, advances forward to gain a better view. Ready for an attack that doesn't come, she continues advancing.

Redbeard, uttering more prayers for his wounded companion, is pleased with Ralphs recovery.

Maximillian moves a bit closer, waiting for his chance to throw.

OOC: Move to cover towards the gobs; ready an action to throw a dagger if possible.

Redbeard

Redbeard pats the large dog on the head and mutters, "Feel better? Now be gettin' 'em ye mangy beast!" As if the healing magic gave the dog new resolve, Ralph jumps into action moving toward the chanting goblin, with Redbeard waddling behind.

[sblock=ooc]Handle animal: 23. I'll have Ralph double move next to the warchanter, while Redbeard moves as near Cecilia as he can. She'll probably move, so Redbeard will double move if needed so he can use CLW next round. [/sblock]

HP: 4/8, AC: 17, Flat: 11, Touch: 17, Fort: +3, Ref: +4, Will: +3

Injured as she is, Cecilia decides not to charge into the pack of goblins without backup. The agile fighter leaps on to of a nearby table, and then she assumes a defensive stance with her quarterstaff.

Standard action: Full defense: +4 dodge bonus to AC until next round.
Still dodging goblin 1, so 18AC against that one.

[Mark Chance]

Korbok grins at the sound of the yelp, but then growls when he realizes Lali is in a bad spot.

"Foolish creature," he mutters into his beard as he drops into the north-south aisle between the two rows of tables. He then hustles fifteen feet farther to the south, trying to use the tables for cover while reloading his crossbow.

Lali, cursing silently her miss, jabs at the goblin again [6=miss], but fails to connect once again. Cursing her bad luck, she drops the lance and draws out a small sword that looks eerily similar to the ones the goblins use.

Korbok jumps down off the table and moves forward to another table for cover, and reloads his crossbow, all the while scanning for a clear shot.

Maximillian draws another dagger and advances cautiously, settling for a spot at behind the table with Korbok.

The goblins advance to form a line, all the while a horrid, high-pitched chanting arises behind them. This bold maneuver seems uncharacteristicly bold for the little runts, suggesting an inspiring leader among them...

Three of the goblins strike at Lali and her mount, one using a sword and the others with torches. Goblin #1 swings its torch at Amrak [15=miss], Goblin #2 swings its sword at Lali [5=miss], Goblin #3 jabs its torch at Amrak [8=miss], but all fail to connect.

Cecilia leaps onto a nearby table, readying herself for attack.

Redbeard, his voice confident, uses a few words to Ralph to send the dog running around the stage towards the chanting. He then moves forward to be near Cecilia. He eyes her wounds carefully.

Korbok jumps down off the table and moves forward to another table for cover, and reloads his crossbow, all the while scanning for a clear shot.

Maximillian draws another dagger and advances cautiously, settling for a spot at behind the table with Korbok.

"Two masons cut a stone more quickly than one," Korbok says to Maximilian. "We need to double-team these stones."

Korbok takes aim at the goblin farthest to his left, but the shot is poorly executed.

Redbeard

Redbeard yells over the melee, "What ye be waitin for Ralph? Be showin' 'em they be messin' w' th' wrong pooch!" Redbeard lays a hand on the human woman after uttering a short prayer. The winds swirl beneath her feet and some of her wounds close up. "How that be doin ye lass?"

[sblock=ooc]Handle animal to have Ralph attack the warchanter. Handle animal vs DC 12(Ralph is wounded): 10 FAIL. Redbeard will then cast CLW on Cecilia. CLW healing: 9 damage healed [/sblock]

Cecilia stops holding her wound, amazed to see it already fully healed. She gives Redbeard a playful punch to the shoulder, then charges back into the battle!
