Odd image behavoir

I noticed something odd when I was viewing the forums today. It looks like a few of the images are "stretched" out. I've created a screenshot with circles around what I mean.
Posted below.

Oh, the stats: Windows XP (5.1.2600) SP 2, 1.95 GB RAM, IE 6.0.2900.2180, resolution 1280x1024.

IE 6 does that to images when it fails to load them completely. The bug is in that browser, not the site.

I strongly recommend against the use of any version of IE, but especially IE 6 The browser is not standards complaint and will not be able to read pages designed to make use of CSS 2.1. IE 6 also remains critically vulnerable to multiple exploits which can place all manner of viruses on your system. Microsoft should have declared end of life (EOL) on it when IE 7 was deployed but has failed to do so. Since they have EOL'ed Windows XP which is the OS IE 6 is designed for I consider it to be EOL, and will cease support for it soon, though a time table has yet to be announced.

Safari 3 and Firefox 3 are each available for all systems IE 6 runs on and are excellent free replacements. Comparing their quality to IE is like comparing the quality of a new Lexus to a rusted down 1992 Ford Escort.

I figured, it's cool, I work in IT. I don't use IE 6 at home. alternately use FF2 or 3 (if Mozilla can get 3 working properly) or the latest version of IE..which isn't THAT bad. I just use IE 6 at work cause I don't have a choice. I wish I was in the section of our IT department that makes decisions about which versions of software we use. Unfortunately, I'm stuck in a more project management and end user support role.

Anyway, I just wanted to provide feedback and help be part of the process.

Automerged 6:18pm ET Time post: FYI: At home now. This is not an issue in IE 7 and FF 2/3. Stupid IE 6.
