I'm starting a new game with my wife. She has never played but wants to start after watching LotR a few times. I want to make the game memorable for her and get her hooked. It's much easier getting out when she loves the game too!
Anyway she has this thing for dragonflies. She also keeps my weapons collection upto date for me and has a love of bastard swords over the others.
I want to put a magic sword into the mix that is sort of like Rands Heron mark blade (But as a Bastard sword not katana wanabe).
The sword will have a jeweled dragonfly on the scabard, engraved on the blade and on the grip.
I plan to have this sword scale with her chracter. She is playing a Fighter/Ranger female elf. I will insert the sword around 5th level and allow her to spend time and experience points to awaken various powers within the sword. Much like the Samauri in OA.
But I am having difficulty thinking of different powers and how I can tie them into dragonflies. Help me design this sword. I'm not concered about the +X to hit or damage.
I plan to make this the sword of an ancient hero that she finds. Unleash your creative talents and give me some ideas!
