Oh.... Canada? (E-Tools problem)

Foundry of Decay

First Post
I've been more and more interested in E-Tools from some things I've read on Codemonkey's website. So I finally decided I'd take the plunge, and purchase the program.

..I got all the way to the 'make payment' page and was dismayed at seeing that they take only PayPal in payment.

So I have a couple of questions for the folks here, as the customer service branch of Codemonkey seems to be off work until Nov 1.

1) How would a Canuck (or puck-dodger to some) get a copy of the latest version of E-Tools? I'm looking more for the 1.5 version with 3.5e ruleset. Keep in mind that I don't have any FLGS's around me (I refuse to go to Warp 1), and Canada likely has the absolute worst web-based game stores that I've seen in any digitally developed nation.

2) Is there any other US distributor that would accept a Credit Card or even Money Order payment? Amazon doesn't seem to have it listed. I do have a USD PayPal account, but I very rarely get any money into it (for art contracts), and to put money into it from my Canadian acct. Would take quite a bit on conversion.

3) Ok, not a question about purchasing, but a general question: What do folks around here think of the program? Is it worth the extra hassle to just get a disc of it?

Thanks!

A quick survey with Google gave me two sites you might wish to visit.

1. http://www.svgames.com sells E-Tools. You may use a credit card or Paypal for payment. It is an American company and the prices are in American dollars. Also, I think that the shipping costs are rather steep.
2. http://www.imperialhobbies.ca also retails E-Tools on their website. If I recall, they are set in Vancouver or something of the sort. They accept credit card payments.

Good luck.

If you don't mind waiting until they return, you can also set up other payment terms. I ended up sending the Code Monkeys a check for the 3.5 data set and they e-mailed me coupon code which allowed me to "buy" the data set from their site at no additional cost.

FYI, these copies are not the current 1.5 provided by CMP. However, if you do buy on of those copies, which are version 1.0 CDs, you can download the 1.5 patch for free from CMP. I belive that CMP is actually in the process of providing a direct credit card option to their Zoo Store. See the bottom of the Oct. 22nd Update at http://www.codemonkeypublishing.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=7499

And they are also more expensive than what CMP charges. CMP charges $30. I saw it going for ~$45 on SVG and $60+ at Imperial Hobbies (that may be Canadian dollars though).
