I’m so very sorry for your loss. Losing a precious family member is difficult, especially near the holidays. May all the fond memories you have of her outshine the pain of her passing, and I hope her patron treats her soul with all the gentleness and care that is deserved.
 



My deepest condolences. It's supposed to go the other way around, that (adult) children bury their parents, and it's just not right.

We grieve when a child loses a parent, but it's a natural grief. The outcome is expected, inevitable, though often sooner than we'd like. For a parent to have to mourn a child turns that on its head. It's a situation that we all hope to never experience, and the grief is all the greater for it.
